JAGUNLABI CUP GETS ROYAL ENDORSEMENT AS OLOSI DESCRIBE THE TOURNAMENT AS GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUTH

 

As the maiden edition of the Jagunlabi Unity Cup is about to kick start, the Olosi Of Osi, Oba Saliu AbdulKareem Adasofegbe has give royal blessing  and endorsed to the tournament.

 

Oba Adasofegbe made the endorsement as the organizing committee of the tournament Paid  the Kabiesi a courtesy visit in his palace, the Kabiesi described the tournament as an event that will surely create opportunity for the youths to shows case their talent and further foster unity not only in Osi but also among other neighboring communities as it is targeted to reach about four or more local governments within kwara South

 

The Olosi of Osi who is also the chairman of Ekiti Local Government Traditional Council in Kwara State commended the sponsor of the tournament, Barrister Abiola AbdulKareem for initiating such an interesting program that will help engage the youth and open opportunity for them to showcase their talent as sport, especially football has become an avenue for people to unite worldwide as he also



pray for God to give him the strength and long life to be able to do more developmental programs in the area

 

The sponsor of the tournament and Founder of  Jagunlabi Foundation Bar. Abiola  AbdulKareem popularly know as Jagunlabi  had earlier made it know that this is part of his commitment to meaningfully engage the youth as he called for peace and unity among them  through sporting activities.

 

Jagunlabi stressed further that the tournament is targeted at the youths in Ekiti/Isin/Irepodun & Oke-Ero federal constituency of Kwara State but will soon spread to other local governments in Kwara south and later to cover the whole of Kwara State

Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday parade cancelled for second year

  The annual military parade in central London for Queen Elizabeth II’s official birthday has been cancelled for a second year owing to the coronavirus pandemic, Buckingham Palace said Friday. The “Trooping the Colour” event in June normally features hundreds of personnel from Britain’s most prestigious regiments for a centuries-old spectacle of pageantry in front of thousands of spectators.
